Toyota Yaris 2025 – The 2024 Tokyo Motor Show is currently underway and several new concepts and vehicles have been unveiled. One of them was the updated Toyota GR Yaris with a newly developed quick-shift automatic transmission. Toyota says it can deliver shorter lap times than a manual.
The new Nissan Ariya Nismo was also in Tokyo. The electric crossover is much more tepid than Toyota’s hit hatch, but it benefits from some real performance upgrades, including an aerodynamics package and more power.

CES 2024 was also held this week. Honda presented the Series 0 (Zero) electric vehicle at the event in Las Vegas. The automaker announced the launch by unveiling two concepts, one of which, the Saloon, is slated for production in the U.S. in 2026.

Mullen used CES to debut the Five RS. With more than 1,000 horsepower, the electric compact crossover promises to match the performance of the Tesla Model S Plaid.
Vietnam’s VinFast showed up at CES with a pair of vehicles. One of them was the VF Wild electric truck concept. This is a mid-sized product with great style and an adjustable mid-neck that allows the bed to be extended from 5 to 8 feet.
One of the future vehicles we looked at this week was the updated Porsche 911 GT3. The refreshed Track Star is expected to receive only the mildest of changes, one of which will be a fully digital gauge cluster.
Another Porsche that hit the headlines this week was the original Group C 962 racing car that was put up for sale. This car is the last 962 produced and was originally raced by Swiss team Brun Motorsport, including at the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans.
New Generation Toyota Yaris Is Coming!
And finally, Dodge has revealed the replacement for its Challenger muscle car. Billed as the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT concept, it will go on sale later this year, and contrary to initial claims, the car may be equipped with either a gasoline or electric powertrain.

This is the new Toyota Yaris Cross, designed for select developing markets and unrelated to the version sold in Australia.
The new 2023 Toyota Yaris Cross has been launched overseas with a design that looks more like a miniature version of the seven-seat Toyota Kluger than the Yaris Cross more familiar to Australian buyers.
Toyota Yaris Cross 2025 Será Fabricado No Brasil E Já Tem Data De Lançamento
Toyota launched the new Yaris Cross for Indonesia this week, and despite the name, it has a different underpinning and larger body than the Australian version.
It was not planned for Australia, as it was designed for developing markets in Southeast Asia, where safety standards are weaker.
Australia’s Yaris Cross is based on Toyota’s TNGA-B architecture, while the Indonesian model uses the cheaper DNGA platform, also known as Daihatsu New Global Architecture, which it shares with the Daihatsu Rocky and Perodua Ativa SUVs sold in developing markets.
Yaris Cross in Kluger form is much larger than the one sold here, as it measures 4310 mm in length, 1770 mm in width and 1615 mm in height. This compares to the local Yaris Cross which measures 4180mm, 1765mm and 1560mm respectively.
Toyota Yaris: Super Update For Supermini
Australians will get a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with or without hybrid support, while Indonesian buyers can opt for a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with or without hybrid support.
The Indonesian market Yaris Cross will not come here. This is because the current models offered by Toyota Australia are designed to meet the strict safety requirements set out in the Australian Design Rules.

What Happens When You Ask Ai To Design A 2025 New Yaris
According to good authorities, an updated version of the high-performance compact hatchback with a more powerful engine will be introduced this fall. It is said to have also received styling changes compared to the current model released in early 2020. Production is expected to begin early next year.
The 1.6-liter turbocharged engine is massaged to deliver exactly 300 horsepower and torque rated at 272 pound-feet (370 Newton meters). That gives it a 28bhp advantage over the Yaris GRMN, which was revealed in early 2022 as a Japan-only special edition limited to 500 units. This GR Yaris is rumored to have 15 lb-ft (20 Nm) less torque compared to the full-fat GRMN at 287 lb-ft (390 Nm).
It seems that this is not the only change that Toyota is planning, as the 2024 Yaris GR is said to be equipped with a newly developed eight-speed automatic transmission. This is not surprising, as the prototype was unveiled at the Toyota Gazoo Racing Rally Challenge in March 2022. According to reports, it will be an automatic torque converter, as it will be equipped with paddle shifters and a new “lock-up system”.
Additional hardware changes include changes to the suspension and brakes and further improved body rigidity. The facelifted model will receive revisions with new bumpers and a larger rear spoiler. Inside, updated displays borrowed from the larger GR Corolla are expected.
El Nuevo Toyota Yaris Cross
Of course, all these advantages come at a price. That’s because prices are rising in Japan, where Toyota sells the diminutive GR Yaris RS with just 118 horsepower, front-wheel drive, and a CVT. Almost four years have passed since then. The debut of the Toyota GR Yaris has left die-hard fans of the hatchback yearning for an updated version. Independent firm Avante Design has taken up the challenge and created a 3D model of a virtual facelift for the GR Yaris that incorporates Toyota’s latest design cues.
Based on the positive response to the styling of the fifth generation Toyota Prius, designers were inspired to design improvements for the GR Yaris. Instead of the usual face changes focused on elements like the bumper, this revision primarily revolves around redesigning the light components.
The front end of the GR Yaris gets a “hammerhead face” treatment, with slimmer LED headlights similar to those on the Toyota Prius surrounding a sharper, body-colored nose. These changes required changes to the front fenders and a new, now vented hood, and certainly changed the look of the rally-ready supermini.
The Avante’s design hasn’t changed anything from the hatchback’s unique three-door profile, other than lowering the suspension for a sportier stance. The highlight of the rear is a new integrated taillight with full-width LED graphics and a body-colored rear fascia that replaces the black trim of the current version.

Although the renderings are entirely imaginary, a recent report out of Japan suggests that the 2024 Toyota GR Yaris will indeed undergo a facelift. But don’t overestimate the refresh, as changes will likely be limited to a redesigned bumper and a larger rear. Spoiler, the interior digital instrument cluster featured.
The turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder is also rumored to match the larger GR Corolla’s 300 horsepower with the addition of a new eight-speed automatic transmission option alongside the existing six-speed manual. Of course, power is still sent to all four wheels via the standard GR-Four system developed in the World Rally Championship.
Do you prefer the bolder look of the Prius-inspired digital model of the facelifted Toyota GR Yaris or the more understated design? It’s worth noting that Toyota recently updated the standard five-door Yaris with more technology and a more powerful hybrid. But this model has little in common with the extensively redesigned GR Yaris three-door hatchback. Parece que o link que você tentou Check everything that doesn’t exist.
