Fiat 500 2025 – 2023 was a pivotal year for Fiat, marked by the news launch of the 600 and the official unveiling of the Topolino on 4 July in Lingotto in Turin. And this is just the beginning of a string of new products for the coming years, including the arrival of at least one new model every year until 2027. Between official announcements and rumours, here’s what the future of the Fiat Group holds.
The new Fiat Panda will launch in 2024. This is expected to take place in July, and this will coincide with Fiat’s 125th anniversary, a symbolic date for the brand. Based on the Smart Car platform, similar to the recent Citroën e-C3, this 4-metre-long small SUV promises to be Fiat’s first low-cost electric car. With a range of up to 320 kilometers and a price starting at around 23,000 euros, it will be followed by an affordable electric version offering a range of up to 200 kilometers and a hybrid version whose prices could start at around 14,000 euros.
Fiat 500 2025
In 2025, a mid-size SUV between the B and C segments measuring just over 4.3 meters will be launched. This car is scheduled to be produced in Kenitra, Morocco, and will be closely linked to the new Fiat Panda and could start a new family of Fiat models. Although its name has not yet been confirmed, it is tentatively called the new Fiat Multipla and will share features with the new Citroën C3 Aircross, likely including a 7-seat version.
New Fiat 500 Hybrid Confirmed For Italy Production From 2026
2026 could represent a transition period with the end of production of the Tipo in Türkiye and the 500X in Italy. However, speculation suggests that Fiat may surprise by launching a larger model, perhaps called the Fiat 500XL, which will be a larger version of the 500X and be positioned at the top of the Fiat range.
2027 promises to be an interesting year with the planned launch of the new generation Fiat 500 electric car. This future 500 is still being produced at Mirafiori, and promises to be more efficient, technological and autonomous, perhaps based on the small STLA platform. As for the plan, it is still too early to say, but we can expect an evolution rather than a revolution in the current model. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Fiat or Stellantis.
Fiat is planning to launch a new model using the Stellantis parts box in order to expand into more sectors. Among the new entrants, we expect the all-new second generation Fiat 500X which is said to debut in 2024 with more space compared to its predecessor, putting it in the popular and quite competitive compact SUV segment.
The Fiat 500X is one of the longest-running models in the current Stellantis SUV range, which is still based on the old FCA Small Wide platform. In fact, the SUV was introduced in 2014 as a sibling to the Jeep Renegade, and is still on sale after a number of design and mechanical updates, the most important of which is a facelift in 2018. Although the 500X’s design has aged well, I have to admit it. . It is time to design a clean window after so many years in the market.
La Fiat Nuova 500 Sarà Anche Ibrida
Fiat has confirmed that it will unveil a new supermini and three new crossovers by 2027. The “stylish and urban” Fiat 600 is said to be among those cars, taking on the 500X’s role in the B-SUV segment. Instead of disappearing, the new generation 500X is expected to grow in size, from 4,248 mm (167.2 inches) of the current model to a more generous 4,400 mm (173.2 inches), helping it move into the C-SUV segment. Something similar will likely happen with the equivalent Jeep Avenger and the larger next-generation Renegade.
While it’s still too early to talk about the design as we haven’t spotted any camouflaged Fiat 500X prototypes on the streets, our partners have created speculative renderings of the SUV based on the Italian brand’s advanced design language. As the new 500 EV suggests, Fiat will likely retain the flair of the 500X, replete with modern design cues in the full LED lighting units. Fiat recently announced a simplified body, so we don’t know if the company will retain all the different versions of the 500X including the hot sports car, adventurous crossover, and stylish cabrio available now.
More space will have a positive impact on cabin space. Therefore, the new 500X will become more family-friendly with more space for rear passengers and a larger trunk for their luggage. Standard technology from the Fiat Group will be included in the equipment, with a digital cockpit, state-of-the-art infotainment system and a range of advanced driver assistance systems putting the 500X on par with newer members of the competition.
Although the design is still under wraps, it’s easy to guess what will happen with the new 500X’s underpinnings. All FCA-sourced components will die with the current generation, and a more modern platform will be replaced by the Stellantis platform. The most plausible scenario is that Fiat will use an extended version of the advanced CMP/eCMP architecture, rather than the larger EMP2. This would make the new Fiat 500X a sibling to the compact Citroen C4 and C4
Will The Fiat 500 Ibrida Arrive In 2025? Here’s Everything We Know
Regarding powertrains, the new 500X will focus on electricity. There will be at least one mild hybrid option as Peugeot’s updated 1.2 PureTech and Fiat’s 1.5 Firefly are now linked to a 48-volt system to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Extended periods with the combustion engine switched off thanks to the battery will allow the electric vehicle to move under certain driving scenarios.
Fiat wants to go all-electric by 2030, so it’s safe to assume there will be an all-electric version of the new 500X. The latter can be equipped with a recently upgraded Stellantis electric motor that produces 154 PS (156 PS / 115 kW) and 260 Nm (191 lb-ft) of torque, along with the 54 kWh battery already used in a variety of models.
The all-new Fiat 500X will not only replace the current model, but also replace the old Tipo and all its body variants, becoming Fiat’s comprehensive offering in the compact segment. The model is rumored to debut in 2024 with a market launch in 2025. Production will likely take place in Kragujevac, Serbia, following Stelatis’ recent investment. The new Fiat 500 plug-in hybrid will arrive in 2025 and could look like this 500, which can be powered by an Avenger 1.2 and has a base price of around £15,000.
The future of the Fiat 500 and Mirafiori lies in the hybrid. This is clearly demonstrated by the decision of Stellantis CEO, Carlos Tavares, who confirmed in a meeting with unions the group’s decision to create a mild hybrid version based on the Fiat 500 electric car.
Abarth 600e Spied, It’s The Brand’s Most Powerful Car Ever
This is an inevitable option given the greater appeal of hybrid engines, and the 500 hybrid is expected to sell more than 100,000 units by 2023, compared to about 62,000 units for the electric Fiat. But what will this new model look like? Let’s find out.
The decision to base the new model on the electric 500e will inevitably result in it using the same platform. The architecture differs from that of the CMP, but is derived from the classic 500, albeit with a number of modifications to accommodate the electric motor. It is possible that the mild hybrid version will receive more modifications to the chassis, but it is unlikely that we will see a change in appearance.
In fact, Fiat is expected to emphasize the appearance of the electric model, in order to reduce design costs and maintain a high level of recognition for the car. So the classic round headlights and rectangular taillight clusters are the order of the day, while the grille can be modified with a slightly different design and a lower air intake.
We also expect a specific color scheme and alloy wheel patterns, as well as a prominent presence of the tailpipe, while the interior should be largely inherited from the battery-powered model.
Fiat 500 Price And Specs: Petrol Version Gets Another Price Rise
Although there is little doubt about mild hybrid technology, the type of combustion engine Fiat will adopt is highly uncertain. The Stellantis range includes the 70bhp 1.0-litre found in the current 500 Hybrid and the 100bhp 1.2-litre found in the Jeep Avenger, Fiat 600 and new Lancia Ypsilon. On the other hand, the big 1.5 fitted to the Jeep Renegade, Compass and Alfa Romeo Tonale is out of the question, because it’s too huge for a car that would otherwise be so compact.
At this point, we’re willing to bet on the 1.2, an engine that could provide a good dose of power in a car that will also focus on lightness.
Another important chapter concerns the price, which will be much lower than the price of the 500 electric car, but somewhat higher than the price of the current 500 hybrid car. The price list can start this way
